Activities
Even though we are away from the city, we are not away from the action. There is so much to do around. You’ll find yourself minutes away from great beaches, the Cabo Rojo lighthouse, bird watching tours, bike riding and walking trails, the bioluminescent bay and great bar & restaurant options for dining. Following are several activities we think you might enjoy during your stay at Hacienda Verde Tahití:
Bioluminescent Bay
We are so lucky to be close to one of three bioluminescent bays Puerto Rico has. This natural wonder will amaze you. Here are several links you can visit to book a tour. Keep in mind that those nights without Moon are recommended to see the magic at its best, so ask your guide for the best dates to make the tour.
Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo
This area is different from anything you’ve seen before. The pink waters are enchanting. You can walk around and go to the observation tower and admire these salty waters and go to the Visitor’s Center, where they can answer your questions. Bird watching and hiking are activities that you can do while visiting the Salinas.
Beaches
We are just minutes away from the most popular beaches there are in the west of the island. Take a short ride and enjoy! Boquerón at Cabo Rojo - 15 minutes Combate at Cabo Rojo - 15 minutes Buyé at Cabo Rojo - 35 minutes Parquera at Lajas - 15 minutes
Rivers
Puerto Rico is surrounded by beautiful beaches but filled with rivers that you can enjoy. The closests to Hacienda Verde Tahití are: El Charco Curé in Maricao - 1 hour El Pilón in San Germán - 45 minutes
